You know the feeling: morning light is starting to seep through the blinds, your sheets are wrapped around you. You bargain with yourself before the day begins.
“One more minute in the warmth… one more minute before the world starts rushing in… one more minute of safety.”
It’s a beautiful, human feeling that never lasts. I wanted to freeze it in time.
I worked on this piece for weeks, trying to capture the exact quality of that early morning light when it touches those of us still in shadow – the way it cuts through darkness but doesn’t eliminate it.
When the light and dark intersect, they mirror how safety and softness can coexist with the world outside. And the subtle greens emphasize how natural, precious and fleeting these moments feel.
